Amanda Miller is a graduate of Yale University, where she studied Art History and Religious Studies.
She is a veteran of the art auction industry, having spent the majority of her career as a specialist in Chinese, Japanese and Indian art for Bonhams in San Francisco and New York. During that time, she regularly appeared on television in a variety of appraisal shows, including PBS’s ‘Antiques Roadshow’ and HGTV’s ‘Appraise It!,’ among others. Since relocating to Bangalore, she has been an independent art consultant, curator and writer, working for such high profile clients as the Museum of Art and Photography (MAP), His Late Highness, the Maharaja of Mysore, and a New York auction house.
Amanda has been a long-standing member of Yale University’s Alumni Schools Committee, and has interviewed and evaluated dozens of applicants to Yale College. She finds great joy in working with young people and has devoted much time to advising students during the college application and decision process.
